Are carers who are family and friends charged for services?
There is no charge for information and advice from carers support services, carers emergency cards are also free of charge.
If the person you care for receives services to help you have a break from caring then, they will be required to have a Financial Assessment.
This will inform the person receiving the support, of the contribution they may need to make towards the cost.
If you receive any support for yourself there will be no charge.
